The current design algorithms (complete enumeration, balanced overlap, and shortcut) used in Lighthouse Studio’s CBC program were developed in the 1990s. Regarding the more recent ACBC, the current design approach lacks flexibility and is suggested may oversample BYO levels too aggressively in some situations. We discuss plans for creating a new experimental design routine for both CBC and ACBC that could provide more speed, higher customization, and slightly better design efficiency.
